Devastation

So here it is. AND the numbers don't lie.  They are beyond devastating and embarrassing.  Its time to get very serious about my health.

Measurements as of Sunday January 3rd

Weight 220
Neck - 13.5
Upper Arm Left - 13
Upper Arm Right - 13
Chest - 43
Waist - 46
Abdomen - 38
Buttocks - 49
Upper Thigh Left - 29
Upper Thigh Right - 29
Calf Left - 16.5
Calf Right - 16
Upper Knee Left - 20.5
Upper Knee Right - 21

I am committing to weighing in and doing my measurements every week so I don't end up focusing too much on the scale.

I also am committing to exercising for at least 40 minutes a day, and getting all of my 10K steps in on my fitbit.

AND

I have started the Isagenix 30 Day Deep Cleansing System as of yesterday (January 2) to kick start this journey.

I really hesitated making this decision. It was a BIG financial investment, and I was/ I am of course so skeptical of whether it will "work "or not.  I have been wavering about this decision for months. I have been so disappointed in the past with false starts and failed attempts that it took a lot of self reflection to commit to this program. Some good friends of mine have had great success using these products,  so I am going to finally give them a try. And boy or boy do I need a detox now that the holidays are over.

I will tell you in advance that I have absolutely ZERO affiliation to this company, and I have paid in full for all of my products.  So I am going to give this 30 days an honest shot, and an honest review. I am hopeful, excited and determined.

I am ready to take control of my health and my life. I am ready to make myself a priority.  And I think THAT is much more powerful and effective than any lifestyle change or "diet" you can find out there.  Like I said, something has changed in my brain.

Because I started this blog a bit late, I am actually already almost two full days into this cleanse. The first two days are "shake days" and so far, they have been pretty easy.   I am closing in on the end of my second shake day and I am neither tired or hungry AND I haven't had a coffee in TWO WHOLE DAYS. Which is a small miracle in itself.

So far the "shake day" is quite easy to follow. I do have to keep the guide pretty close to me to remember when and what to drink/eat but I imagine that will get easier as I come to figure out what I am doing.

Tomorrow... is my first cleanse day, and I am going to do two cleanse days back to back.  I will tell you all about those tomorrow.
